Stephen King Claims He Convinced MAGA Supporters to Vote for Kamala Harris

Renowned horror novelist Stephen King recently took to social media with an unexpected claim—he believes he has persuaded some Make America Great Again (MAGA) supporters to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election, rather than for former President Donald Trump.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday afternoon, King, who has been an outspoken critic of Trump, shared his surprising encounter. “Wow! MAGA guys and gals saw me in my Kamala shirt and immediately said, ‘Okay, I’ll vote for her!'” King wrote, expressing his amazement at the situation.
MAGA supporters, known for their strong backing of Trump and his conservative platform, are not typically expected to switch allegiances so easily. However, King described the experience as “amazing!”
Newsweek reached out to the campaigns of both Harris and Trump for comment. In a previous statement to Newsweek, Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung dismissed King with harsh words, saying, “Stephen King is a dumbass.”
