Cardiac Celtics Part III: First ‘Clutch Time’ Playoff Game Wasn’t Fun

What a way to take a 3-1 series lead.

After nearly three weeks, the “Cardiac Celtics” are back in action. The Boston Celtics managed to secure a 3-1 series advantage over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, but it was far from a smooth ride.

Despite Donovan Mitchell being sidelined with a calf strain, the game turned into a heart-pounding rollercoaster for the spectators.

Since Game 2 of the Miami series, the Celtics have avoided major drama (although Game 2 against Cleveland was rough, it felt more like ripping off a band-aid), sparing fans from too much anxiety.

You might wonder, “Sam, why were you so worried about this game? Even with a loss, the Celtics should’ve handled the Cavs easily.”

This game felt like a must-win for Boston. With Mitchell out, Cleveland lost their primary offensive threat. If the Cavs had pulled off a win, it would have been because their “other guys” stepped up and made it happen.
