Court Confirms: Social Media Posts Trump Claimed Were Made by Judge’s Wife Actually False

A recent court statement has debunked former President Donald Trump’s claims regarding social media posts attributed to the wife of the judge presiding over his New York fraud trial. According to a spokesperson for the New York Office of Court Administration, Justice Engoron’s wife did not make any such posts, clarifying that they were not hers and that she does not even have an account on the platform formerly known as Twitter, now X.

Trump had shared images of these alleged posts on his social media platform, Truth Social, claiming they were from Judge Arthur Engoron’s wife. These posts depicted manipulated images of Trump in various scenarios, including wearing an orange prison jumpsuit. Trump also accused Judge Engoron’s wife of bias and involvement in the trial against him.

However, further investigation revealed that the images Trump shared were originally posted by Laura Loomer, a known conspiracy theorist and far-right personality. Loomer had falsely attributed these images to Mrs. Engoron’s private X account, which has since been deleted.

Trump’s social media activity related to the ongoing trial has faced scrutiny, especially after a gag order was issued in October, restricting his speech regarding the court proceedings. Despite the order, Trump continued to comment on court staff, resulting in fines imposed by Judge Engoron.

This revelation highlights the importance of verifying information before making public accusations, especially in legal matters as sensitive as a high-profile trial. As the trial progresses, it’s crucial to uphold the integrity of the judicial process and refrain from spreading misinformation.
