Purdue Boilermaker Stars Zach Edey, Lance Jones Lead NIL Store Sales for January
In January, the NIL Store revealed its Top 10 schools, indicating a surge in sales driven by basketball and fresh partnerships.
Exceeding the $1 million mark in athlete payouts, the NIL Store gauged the success through officially licensed merchandise sales across its network. Notably, two newcomers, North Carolina and Georgetown, secured spots in the Top 10 rankings, landing at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.
North Carolina’s debut at the NIL Store showcased merchandise spanning all 28 Tar Heel sports. Standout sales from softball player Lexi Godwin and men’s basketball player RJ Davis bolstered their position in the Top 10.
Meanwhile, over 200 Georgetown athletes contributed to the store’s offerings, with men’s basketball players Wayne Bristol Jr. and Jayden Epps leading the charge.
Topping the January sales chart was Purdue, propelled by basketball sensation Zach Edey. Although specific figures weren’t disclosed, Edey and teammate Lance Jones dominated as the top two selling athletes, with five products in the Top 10.
UConn secured the second spot, driven by women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers, whose jersey emerged as the best-selling women’s apparel. Notably, her UConn pink jersey for the “Play4Kay” Pink game clinched a spot in the Top 10 merchandise list.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Illinois, Iowa, Ohio State, Nebraska, Marquette, and Indiana.
Beyond sales, the NIL Store expanded its reach through collaborative ventures with Washington, Mississippi State, Iowa, and Iowa State.
