Along with an extended team sponsorship. This comprehensive agreement, valued at $170 million, is currently pending approval by the Stadium Authority Board, anticipated on Tuesday, January 30. If approved, this extension will stand as one of the most substantial in the National Football League, solidifying LS&Co.’s hold on the naming rights for Levi’s® Stadium until the culmination of the 2043 NFL season. The proposed extension reaffirms the enduring commitment of both parties to the Bay Area, positioning it as a globally recognized hub for sports and entertainment.
Levi’s® Stadium, recognized as a premier, publicly owned venue since its inauguration in 2014, has hosted a myriad of events, setting NFL and sports viewership records while welcoming millions of attendees. Beyond hosting San Francisco 49ers football games, the stadium has been the venue for major live events, including Super Bowl 50, the College Football Playoff, Wrestlemania, NHL Stadium Series, and concerts headlined by iconic artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and The Rolling Stones.
Michelle Gass, President and incoming CEO at LS&Co., expressed the brand’s commitment to community engagement, cultural impact, and sustainable growth through this extended partnership. The collaboration will not only continue to include digital content and merchandise collaborations but will also support initiatives for the betterment of the Bay Area community. LS&Co. will collaborate with the 49ers and nonprofit organizations on projects focused on sustainability and community well-being, such as the 49ers EDU program emphasizing water conservation and the “Field of Jeans” installation advocating for extending the lifespan of clothing. Moreover, the 49ers organization has committed an annual contribution of $200,000 to projects benefiting the Santa Clara community and residents as part of this renewed agreement.
