Storm’s Nika Muhl Set for WNBA Debut Against Fever After Visa Issues

SEATTLE — Seattle Storm rookie guard Nika Muhl is ready to make her WNBA debut on Wednesday at home against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever after successfully converting her student visa to a P1A work visa.

Seattle coach Noelle Quinn confirmed to ESPN after the team’s shootaround on Wednesday morning that Muhl’s visa had been approved and that she would be available to play against the Fever.

Muhl had participated in the Storm’s training camp and played in a preseason game against the Phoenix Mercury but missed Seattle’s first four regular-season games due to visa complications. This left Kiana Williams as the only point guard on the roster behind starter Skylar Diggins-Smith, with veteran wing Sami Whitcomb also filling in at the point. Seattle entered Wednesday’s game with a 1-3 record.
